Thai cuisine and street food in Thailand has taken influences from many other styles of Asian cooking, including Chinese food. You’ll find Thai street food on many street corners in Thailand, as well as at every market, be it in Krabi, Phuket, Bangkok or Pattaya. Thai food markets are one of the best places to buy fresh and authentic Thai food while you travel in Thailand. There are loads of Thai food markets and night market all over Thailand, you’re never far from one. At the markets you’ll find so many Thai dishes on offer and the foods here are cheap, and so tasty! And in case you’re worried, eating Thai street food is perfectly safe. It’s what the locals eat and it is cooked fresh and sold quickly. I’ve been eating it nearly daily in Thailand since 2012 and my friends who have been to visit and tour Thailand have all eaten it, and none of us have had any problems. Thai street food is some of the best Thai cuisine you’ll find in Thailand!

The markets in Thailand are also a great place to get an insight into Thai culture while you travel in Thailand. You can shop alongside the locals and learn what they buy and eat. And the markets are a great place to try traditional Thai street foods, learn Thai recipes and cooking, as well as eat some of the best Thai dishes in Thailand. You’ll see the people cooking the food right in front of you. And best of all, the food is cheap, often much cheaper than eating in a Thai restaurant. Eating at markets is a good way to eat cheap on your Thailand holidays.

Make sure you check out some Thai food markets on your trip to Thailand, and be sure to sample some of the amazing Thai street food that’s available in Thailand! If you want to try some of the most delicious food in the world be sure to visit Thailand!

I post new Thailand food and travel videos and vlogs every Wednesday about Thailand: places to see, things to do, tours, Thai food, Thailand markets, Thai festivals & culture, street food, Thai recipes, eating Thai food, hotels, resorts, villas, restaurants, Thailand holidays, tourism, accommodation & Thailand travel, including Phuket, Ao Nang, Krabi and other Thailand destinations.

Krabi is about 2-3 hours from Phuket by land or sea, and has world class accommodation standards comparable to what you find in Phuket hotels and resorts, but in a more relaxed environment.

If you’re looking into Thailand Hotels have a look at hotels and resorts in Krabi. The islands and beaches of Krabi are famous for Thailand holidays, the movie The Beach was filmed on Krabi’s Koh Phi Phi Island.

Looks delicious, and more than affordable.

Zyber junker says:

Why do you think Thai people are so small but they eat all day (Not fair)? I think it's the portion of food, example the noodle soup that shown. Americans would say that is a rip-off. Americans restaurant justify the price they are charging by fill dishes up to the brim and charge $10 for lunch dish easily. They use carb rice, noodle, bread to make portion looks big. The Thai are using bean sprout and veggi as fillers, much healthier.

Thanks for the education. It's nice to see your wife smiling. I'd like to hear her description of dishes from time to time if she's willing.

Missy B says:

Those are all in my wheelhouse Totally meat/carb oriented. Meat and potatoes for me all the way and enjoy FRESH veggies with it. Sliced tomato/cuke. And YES to all Asian soup broths. So flavorful. Wonton w/pork and extra green onion is my fav. Thanks for another example of excellent Thai food!

Daniel Tam says:

Thank you both. I see that now.

G Tay says:

I like all of those dishes & I also have never had any dry meat in Thailand, always very tasty. I dislike Thai coriander with a passion (tastes very soapy), find it extremely strong compared to versions we get her in the UK, which I do like.
I would recommend anybody to visit the little vendors or the little restaurants than are away from the tourist areas, you will not be disappointed with the food in any of them & much better prices too.
