Would you show us how the steamed tapioca and coconut cream is made? I can't seem to find a recipe on youtube etc. Thanks in advance.

AnneGirlCarrots says:

Water Chestnuts ARE called truffles in Thailand… because their raw unpeeled form looks like a (mushroom) truffle.

smutpow says:

I'm pretty sure its a mistake in translation for the subs for the "truffles". If you look carefully at around 1:00, the english ingredients listed on #5 states waterchestnuts. And I think I may have eaten this dessert before and it does taste of water chestnut and not truffles.

Anyone can share the recipe in english ??

Oops ment the recipe called water chestnut with coconut custard topping but the ingredient doesn't use water chestnut so why is it called water chestnut with coconut custard topping?

K1234 684PS says:

From your "ta ko haew" recipe video and ingredients English site, it say to use steam truffle but since I can not find truffle to use than can I use water chestnut to substitute the truffle? And if i can not get water chestnut and end up making the recipe as it is but without truffle or water chestnut than will it still taste good?
If I use water chestnut instead of truffle then will it taste as good as the ingredient with truffle?
The title recipe say thai "water chestnut with coconut pudding" but the ingredient doesn't use water chestnut so why is it call water chestnut with coconut pudding?
