New Thailand food and travel videos every Wednesday. Subscribe: Thai Street Food & Shopping at a Huge Street Market in Thailand. This is a Thai Food Market I found while walking around Hat Yai, Thailand’s fourth largest city, which is in the south of Thailand. It was the biggest street market I’ve ever seen and must have stretched for around 1.5km. There were all sorts of fresh foods available, fruit, vegetables, meats and seafood, and everything you could possibly want from frogs to seaweed to pig snouts. There were also loads of Thai street food vendors.
The Google Maps coordinates for the market are: 7.012053, 100.467524

Hat Yai Thailand is a great place to visit with loads of shopping, heaps of great Thai food, plenty of things to do and there are some great Hat Yai hotels and resorts. You can see more in my Hat Yai playlist here:

Thai street food is everywhere in Thailand. It’s cheap and it is really delicious, all the food is cooked fresh as the vendors sell it, it’s some of my favourite Thai cuisine, and there is so much variety of street food in Thailand! Thai Street Food is a must to try if you’re on holidays in Thailand, and there’s loads of street food in Hat Yai!

Thai food markets are one of the best places to buy fresh and authentic Thai food, or to buy groceries and fruit while you travel in Thailand. There are so many Thai dishes on offer and the foods here are cheap, and so tasty! And in case you’re worried, eating street food is perfectly safe. It’s what the locals eat and it is cooked fresh and sold quickly. I’ve been eating it for 3 years in Thailand and my friends who have been to visit and tour Thailand have all eaten it, and none of us have had any problems. Thai street food is some of the best Thai food you’ll find in Thailand!

The markets in Thailand are a great place to get an insight into Thai culture while you travel in Thailand. You can shop alongside the locals and learn what they buy and eat. And the markets are a great place to try traditional Thai street foods, learn Thai recipes and cooking, as well as eat some of the best Thai dishes in Thailand. You’ll see the people cooking the food right in front of you. And best of all, the food is cheap, often much cheaper than eating in a Thai restaurant. Eating at markets is a good way to eat cheap on your Thailand holidays.

Make sure you check out some Thai Food Markets on your trip to Thailand, and be sure to sample some of the amazing Thai street food that’s available in Thailand! If you want to try some of the most delicious food in the world be sure to visit Thailand!

Krabi is about 2-3 hours from Phuket by land or sea, and has world class accommodation standards comparable to what you find in Phuket hotels and resorts, but in a more relaxed environment.

If you’re looking into Thailand Hotels have a look at hotels and resorts in Krabi. The islands and beaches of Krabi are famous for Thailand holidays, the movie The Beach was filmed on Krabi’s Koh Phi Phi Island.

Darren, Great posts. I think I've seen them all. I would love to see a video of how to buy nam prik at a market. I don't think that would be a favorite of yours, but just for informational purposes. It could even be a video of someone else ordering and you could narrate. I'm interested in how you purchase, ergo buy the veg and get a selection of nam prik, or buy individual nam prik and get a selection of veg. What about samples? Would vendors allow you to sample?

E Mack says:

You did it the right way, just wandering and observing. I stayed in Thailand for about 3 months thinking I was going to be working as an English teacher. The job search didn't work out, but Thailand did. What a great place! The people are beautiful and the food is the freshest of the fresh. One day I will return as a wandering tourist. I really enjoyed this video!

There appears to be more men at the market than women. I prefer to see women doing the cooking. I like your videos, but please slow the camera down, give your viewers something to see.
