This was a meal my family and I had at Khun Pha Rawai Barbecue Thai Restaurant at Rawai Beach in Phuket Thailand. The restaurant is right behind Rawai Beach and the Thai food there was delicious! In this area you can buy the seafood from Rawai Seafood Market and take the food to the restaurants across the road from the market for them to cook. The restaurants charge 100 baht per kilogram to cook the food purchased at the market. The meal we had in the video cost 360 baht for cooking and drinks from the restaurant and 440 baht for the seafood from the market. The restaurant is clean and comfortable and the staff are very friendly. If you love seafood and you’re in Phuket Thailand I’d definitely recommend visiting Rawai Seafood Market! New Thailand videos posted regularly about Thailand including Phuket, Ao Nang and Krabi: Places to see, things to do, tours, Thai food, Thailand markets, Thai festivals & culture, Thai street food, shopping, hotels, resorts, villas, restaurants, Thailand holidays, tourism, accommodation & Thailand travel. Visit Thailand … you know you want to!

Krabi is about 2-3 hours from Phuket by land or sea, and has world class accommodation standards comparable to what you find in Phuket hotels and resorts, but in a more relaxed environment.

If you’re looking into Thailand Hotels have a look at hotels and resorts in Krabi. The islands and beaches of Krabi are famous for Thailand holidays, the movie The Beach was filmed on Krabi’s Koh Phi Phi Island.

I do not own the music in this video.

The first song is Jeff Kaale – Juice Box

There are similar seafood markets like that in Seoul and Busan. Is there markets like that in Bangkok and Pattaya?

Bill c says:

Put the phone away. It is not easy to clean if you got some grease into it.

This is the best life I am dreaming daily. Thanks. I enjoyed it too.

Göksel Kaya says:

Why are the lobster and the prawns so expensive. It's not like they are importing them.

Ahmer Baloch says:

Hi I wanted to ask – I was looking at some of the prices of the seafood in the video. 1500 baht for a kilo of prawns – is that correct?

D D says:

You did a amazing job for the video. But just curious for the restaurant you went to after you buy your seafood, if its 100 baht per KG, if you had 5 dishes it means you would be charged 5 additional charges for your whole meal? It would be a whopping big bill you paid ?

Lucas Yousif says:

Enjoyed your video mate, thanks

Julius44bc says:

They prepare and serve two pounds of food for about $3USD. That's pretty good!
Delicious? Yes. Want more? No. LOL

Well, Darren, I'm back from my Thailand travels and just to let you know, I went to this restaurant you recommended. Top recommendation from you! We loved it and we were so amazed by the huge choice of fresh seafood to purchase, that we went a bit crazy and bought rather too much food!! Many thanks for all your informative videos which have been so useful!

Yonkairu Truong says:

Ever thought about having a pop up bubble text that show how much these things cost in USA dollars?

Missy B says:

That looked to me to be the best seafood you have shown so far in a market. It looked every bit as delish as the moo kata I fell in love with watching you cook and eat. How delightful to have so much choice and then to walk across the street and have stuff prepared in the style of your choice as well. Aorn is such a trooper trying new things lately. She has the sweetest smile when she likes something. And Ananda totally mastered that spoon in this vid lol. He could have cared less what you two were doing. Thanks for another great vid!!! Forgot to say those were the biggest prawns I have ever seen. Nothing even close to that in our stores…not frozen and we don't get fresh.
