Koh Samui Travel Video – We are at the Chaweng Beach Night Market or more correctly called the Chaweng Night Market Food Center located at Chaweng Beach on the island of Koh Samui (Ko Samui) in Thailand. The Chaweng Beach Night Market is located just below the Star Gym with the following address (this is the address of the Star Gym according to Google Maps) 14/102 Moo 2 Marat, Chaweng, Bophut, Koh Samui, Surat Thani 84320, Thailand. Located on Chaweng Beach Road to be exact.Gym with the following address (this is the address of the Star Gym according to Google Maps) 14/102 Moo 2 Marat, Chaweng, Bophut, Koh Samui, Surat Thani 84320, Thailand. Located on Chaweng Beach Road to be exact.
Unlike the Fisherman’s Village Night Market held at Bophut Beach on Fridays or the Lamai Market at Mamai Beach the Chaweng Night Market is exclusively about food with a particular noteworthy focus on fresh seafood. This food center is a “street Food” enthusiasts dream where one can sample all sorts of Thai, Western and other countries delicacies, with a diverse selection of soft drinks, smoothies, drinks and cocktails to accompany the foods, all at reasonable prices.

This video footage of the Chaweng Night Market is filmed as in POV (Point of View) mode with no commentary. We invite you the viewer to walk through this night market with us and view and absorb the fantastic atmosphere on this beautiful evening in Ko Samui.

Wikitravel writes about Chaweng Beach, “Chaweng is the largest and most popular of Samui’s beaches, and is usually divided into four sections: North Chaweng, Central Chaweng, South Chaweng and Chaweng Noi (Little Chaweng) which is around a headland and at the southern most tip of Chaweng. Chaweng Beach is approximately 7 km long, making it the longest beach on the east coast. It is lined with coconut trees and boasts year long, warm (temperatures range between 25-28°C.) emerald-blue waters in the Gulf of Thailand…”.

Wiki writes about Koh Samui, “Ko Samui (or Koh Samui, Thai: เกาะสมุย, Thai pronunciation: [kɔ̀ sàmūj]) is an island off the east coast of the Kra Isthmus, Thailand. Geographically in the Chumphon Archipelago, it is administratively part of Surat Thani Province. Ko Samui is Thailand’s second-largest island after Phuket, with an area of 228.7 km2, a population of over 63,000 and a hotel occupancy rate of 73% as the number of visitors increases.Abundant tourist resources, sandy beaches, coral reefs, and coconut trees are present on the island…”

This footage is filmed with a Panasonic HC-VX870 4K video camcorder. Panasonic writes about the HC-VX870, “Capture your vision in 4K video – Elevate your creativity with 4K video. Enjoy greater detail, HDR exposure and improved camera control with Level Shot Function and 5-Axis Hybrid O.I.S.+.”

Protocol Officer says:

An excellent look at the night market. Enjoyed seeing the variety of food and drink offered. The perceived locals seemed to be very welcoming. Did you notice how western looking tourists with their slovenly ways and unsophisticated attire bring the exciting atmosphere way down to their level. It looks like they view the whole scene as down-market and primitive whereas it is they who bring it down. Note to western tourists, smarten up!
